CYBER CRIME: A CYBERSPACE ODYSSEY FOR CRIMINALS

I am aiming to write a series of articles on cybercrime, beginning with identifying twhat cybercrime is, types of cybercrime and then discussing the many issues that pose a collective dilemma to the law and enforcement agencies. Also, I would be turning my attention to some rather unique offences in cyberspace. Unique as these offences transcend what we traditionally have understood what a crime is. Then there are enforcement problems. This ties in with jurisdiction.

Another issue that intrigues me - and this is not related to cyberlaw at all - is the psyche of the computer criminals. What makes them tick? Why do they do what they do? Especially since in many cases, computer crimes are committed for the heck of it, for the thrill, rather than for material gain. However, that kind of musings is for another day.......
